Feasibility Analysis of Typical Cryogenic Processes for Hydrogen-Mixed Natural Gas Separation

Hydrogen energy is a crucial carrier for the growth of system and its low-carbon transformation. Using natural gas as hydrogen transport pipeline network transportation significant step toward realizing large-scale long-distance transport. Hydrogen-mixed mainly separated into by physical methods at present. High purity recovery, but recovery rate low. At same time, compared with gas, liquefied more economical flexible. This study analyzes three typical cryogenic separation processes. The results show that efficiency specific consumption increase liquefaction decrease ratio increases. C3-MRC are lower than MRC cascade Besides, pressure increases in process, subsequently drop. Different content has highest under different feed conditions. total exergy losses least fractions, which 37.59% 21.77% less 25% fraction, 37.89% 21.37% 30% fraction. Moreover, 87.68% 88.06% when fraction 30%, higher other two processes, implies making it suitable separate separation.
